Several practical steps stand out. Firms can adopt a hybrid model in which automation handles routine tasks while skilled specialists review high risk exceptions. They can modernise platforms gradually, starting with the data flows that create the most rework. They can introduce feedback loops so that reconciliation findings continually inform upstream improvements. Most importantly, they can collaborate with partners to ensure that data meaning is shared rather than assumed.
